The last 2 years have been difficult for all of us, and many people have had to make adjustments to the way they live and work. It can be hard to adjust to meeting or working with people face to face, whether they be friends, family or colleagues. This presents a particular problem for businesses asking their staff to return to the office after working from home for so long.
We at Busy Bushcraft have created events aimed at bringing people and teams back together again with fun, engaging and educational activities set in nature’s very own playground. Who says adults can’t learn through play?! No matter what your experience or fitness level, colleagues will re-connect with each other before returning to the office with renewed excitement, enthusiasm and energy.
Bushcraft means Business!
Bushcraft Bonding
The hard truth about soft skills is that they are crucial for a team to succeed. We have designed a series of activities to help your team improve on many skills that prove vital for successful businesses.
Face to face relationships
Clear communication
Active listening
Positive attitude
Resourcefulness
Awareness of self and others
We can design packages that will help meet your business aims and goals. If developing active listening skills is high on your agenda for example, we can tailor a package that will focus specifically on this skill.
We can also provide individual assessments based on specific criteria, including feedback on how your staff have performed during the event. This also includes suggestions for further development. Both Andy and Gemma started their careers in the recruitment field, so are experienced in what skills are needed in the workplace.
Bushcraft a tighter team
We have created a series of activities to keep your team engaged and motivated whilst learning a set of invaluable life skills, all while having fun. Below is a snapshot of what we offer…
Shelter making… how will your team stay dry….. ?
Fire lighting… who is your teams’ caveman?
Group games and competitions… who will bring Bushcraft Bragging rights to the office?
Incredible Edible Bugs… yep, you read it right!
Catapults / Slingshots… resourcefulness, creativity and aim are all put to the test.
Team games…. do more hands really mean less work?
Here’s what the Park Rangers at Clifton Country Park had to say…
“We spent a day with Andy, learning about bushcraft skills in the woods. We found him knowledgeable and patient, able to teach you how to do things in a fun and constructive manner. The day was well structured and we came away feeling like we had learned a lot. We covered natural shelters, useful knots, tarp set up, and then different methods of fire lighting, from flint, friction and ferro. We then learnt how to make a pot hangar and had a hot lunch, after this we were taught how to use a knife safely and create a Swedish torch. It was great fun and I would recommend Andy to anyone planning a team building day and also to learn techniques that those who work with groups might be able to use in their own sessions outdoors. Andy adhered to all risk assessments and left the site as we found it with no trace.”
Events are held either midweek, or at weekends 9.00am – 2.00pm or from 2.00pm – 7pm and are catered with sandwiches and snacks around the fire.
Guests are asked to bring their own water and wear clothing and footwear suitable for spending a day outdoors.
